# Chapter 375: Shuangyue Is the Best
Sky-Mending City.
Ruoshui, Kro, and Nuxing noticed the oppressive pressure vanish without warning, and with it, the stellar phantoms across the sky faded into nothing.
All three froze for a moment, then exchanged glances.
Kro looked at Nuxing with a mix of surprise and uncertainty. "Nuxing, what happened? Why did the stellar phantoms disappear?"
Nuxing shook his head, equally baffled. "I have no idea."
Ruoshui turned toward the Gravity Room, hesitating. "Could something have gone wrong on Yuan's end? Should we go check?"
The three looked at one another in silence. After a pause, Nuxing spoke up. "Perhaps this is simply part of the process of comprehending Laws. We should wait a bit rather than risk disrupting him."
Neither Ruoshui nor Kro had any real knowledge of what phenomena might occur during deep Law comprehension. After considering Nuxing's words, they both nodded.
Unless absolutely necessary, none of them wanted to interfere with Lu Yuan's breakthrough.
They waited in tense silence—and then a figure materialized in the air above them without warning.
It was Lu Yuan.
Sealing all three Spatial Rifts hadn't taken him long. Once he'd finished, he returned straight to Sky-Mending City.
With his current power, he naturally sensed the three War Gods the instant he arrived, and appeared beside them.
Ruoshui and the others had been patiently waiting, so Lu Yuan's sudden appearance caught them off guard. They stared blankly for a beat before their eyes went wide with realization.
Kro looked at him, excitement breaking through. "Yuan! You're out of seclusion?! How did it go? Did you comprehend the Laws??"
Nuxing and Ruoshui watched him with equal anticipation, waiting for his answer.
Lu Yuan smiled at the barrage of questions. "I did. I've successfully comprehended Stellar Laws."
Silence fell.
All three went still, the words hanging in the air as they processed what he'd just said.
A moment later, elation broke across their faces.
Kro threw his head back and laughed. "Excellent! Excellent! This is wonderful! Yuan has comprehended the Laws—our universe finally has a Laws Rank powerhouse! Someone at that level should be able to fight even the Aberrant Beast Mother Nest, shouldn't they?!"
Ruoshui regarded Lu Yuan and nodded, a note of wonder in her voice. "I always believed you had a real chance of breaking through to Laws Rank, but I never imagined you'd achieve it this quickly. You never fail to exceed expectations."
Nuxing nodded repeatedly, the corner of his mouth twitching into a rueful smile. "I've been inscribing Stellar Laws myself, and after all this time, I still can't compare to what you accomplished in a few years. You're an absolute monster—I'm starting to question my own existence."
Lu Yuan couldn't help but chuckle at their mixture of joy, awe, and bewilderment.
Then his expression turned serious. "Even though I've reached Laws Rank, I don't think the situation is entirely optimistic. The King of Flesh I encountered in the Mechanical Kingdom was extraordinarily powerful. His Descended Avatar alone—not even fully gestated—approached Laws Rank strength. His true body may well be at that level."
That sobered the mood instantly.
After a heavy silence, Kro scratched his head. "Let's not dwell on that for now. Regardless, your breakthrough to Laws Rank is nothing but good news for us."
Ruoshui and Nuxing nodded in agreement.
Then Ruoshui remembered something. "That reminds me—the Beast Race and Elf Race Aberration organizations have invaded the Upper Layer of the Land of Origin again for some reason. We've already driven out the invaders in our territory, but the other three races' regions still need help. I think we should assist them."
Kro and Nuxing snapped out of their elation, their expressions turning grave as they nodded.
"Ruoshui's right," Kro said. "If they continue corrupting the Upper Layer, the spatial fabric will grow increasingly unstable. Eventually, the entire Upper Layer could collapse. Without that buffer, the Lower Layer would be flooded with Aberration energy."
Lu Yuan blinked at them, then smiled. "No need. I sensed those three Aberration signatures the moment I came out of seclusion. I've already sealed their Spatial Rifts."
"..."
All three fell silent mid-sentence, staring at him.
After a stunned pause, Kro's mouth twitched. "...You're saying you've already dealt with the invasions in the Elf Race, Beast Race, and Mechanical Race territories?!"
Lu Yuan nodded. "That's right, Senior. You heard me correctly."
Nuxing couldn't help but ask, "But how did you even get there?! And the Land of Origin is enormous—how did you detect the Aberration forces in the other three races' regions? Weren't you still in seclusion?"
"After reaching Laws Rank, the Upper Layer isn't all that vast anymore," Lu Yuan explained. "I can easily sense Aberration signatures across the other three races' territories. So right after ending my seclusion, I made a quick trip."
The three exchanged glances, still looking somewhat dazed.
Ruoshui let out a long breath. "...Laws Rank truly is terrifying."
Lu Yuan just smiled.
"Now that I've reached Laws Rank," he continued, "I plan to visit the Elf Race and Beast Race territories and dismantle their Aberration organizations entirely. Once they're gone, our universe will be free of traitors and can focus all its strength against the Aberrant Beasts beyond the Cosmic Boundary."
The other three nodded, their expressions a mix of gravity and anticipation. The Aberration organizations had been a plague on the entire universe. If they could truly be eradicated, it would be nothing short of momentous.
"But before that, I'm going home first." Lu Yuan smiled. "I've been in seclusion for so long—if I don't go back, they'll worry."
All three gave understanding smiles.
Ruoshui thought for a moment. "We'll contact the Beast Race and Elf Race in the meantime and notify them to prepare for a full purge of their Aberration organizations."
Lu Yuan nodded. "Then I'll leave that to you, Senior Ruoshui."
He bid the three farewell. Since they had their own pressing matters, they departed immediately.
Once they were gone, Lu Yuan glanced outside the Training Hall to where Li Qinghe and the others stood on the street. A warm smile tugged at his lips.
His gaze flickered—and he vanished.
Outside the Training Hall, Li Qinghe and the others had been watching the celestial phenomenon with a mixture of awe and anticipation.
When that overwhelming aura had surged forth, their faces had lit up with barely contained excitement.
They were all but certain Lu Yuan had comprehended the Laws.
What else could produce such staggering power?
But their elation was short-lived. The aura dissipated almost as quickly as it had appeared.
After waiting for a while with no further sign, they exchanged uneasy looks. Worry flickered in Amy's eyes. "Is he okay? Why is there no sign of anything?"
Si Tingxue's brow creased with concern. "Could the comprehension have failed?"
Rebecca glanced up at the stellar phantoms slowly dissolving overhead. "...Should we go to the Training Hall and look? Maybe we can find him there."
"Qinghe, what do you all think?" Anastasia turned to Li Qinghe, Shuangyue, and Si Tingyu.
The three of them were the eldest, after all.
Si Tingxue and the others looked their way as well.
The three exchanged a glance before Si Tingyu spoke. "Let's wait a little longer. He may have already finished his comprehension and simply reined in that power. We should trust him."
The others considered this, then nodded.
Just as they were talking, a flash of starlight swept over them.
Their vision blurred—and they found themselves standing in a familiar living room.
Instinct kicked in. Everyone tensed, scanning their surroundings with guarded alertness.
"What—how did we get back here?!" Wang Lingling's usual gentle smile had vanished, replaced by open shock.
Then they felt a presence materialize out of nowhere. Spirit Power surged through every one of them as they prepared to strike—
But before anyone could attack, their bodies locked in place.
Lu Yuan couldn't help but laugh. "I finally come out of seclusion, and this is the welcome I get?"
Frozen in their combat stances, they finally saw who it was.
Every breath caught. Eyes went wide. And then—radiant smiles broke across every face.
Yeye was the first to move, throwing herself into his arms. Her black cat ears trembled, and her usually flat tone carried unmistakable emotion. "Yuan, welcome home."
Amy launched herself at him with a cheer. "You come back and the first thing you do is scare us?! That's so unfair!"
It had been so long since any of them had seen him. The longing they'd carried welled up the moment he appeared, and the instinct to hold him was irresistible.
Only Li Qinghe, Si Tingyu, and Shuangyue—the older ones—watched with their arms crossed, beaming as Lu Yuan disappeared under a swarm of embraces.
Surrounded by them, breathing in their familiar scents, Lu Yuan smiled softly. "I'm home. And I've broken through to Laws Rank."
Anastasia leveraged her superior strength to claim the prime position at center, wrapping her arms around his chest—much to the visible annoyance of Si Tingxue and the others, who shot her withering looks.
Anastasia was entirely unbothered. She'd been more restrained lately, but a reunion after such a long separation wasn't the time for restraint. She was once again the Anastasia who never cared what anyone else thought. She looked up at him and grinned. "I knew it. You're the best."
Being held by so many of them at once was doing things to his composure. He cleared his throat and put on a dignified expression. "Of course I'm the best. Did you ever doubt it?"
A collective eye-roll swept through the room.
"Shameless!"
"Pervert!"
"Unbelievable!"
But Shuangyue's eyes lit up with a mischievous glint. "Well then—how about we all put that to the test together?"
Lu Yuan's face brightened, and he looked at Shuangyue with deep gratitude.
*Shuangyue really is the best!*
The others had shared intimate moments with him in smaller groups before, but all of them together? That was unprecedented, and the protests came immediately.
Unfortunately for them, none of them were a match for Lu Yuan anymore. Protests denied.
After the long separation, Lu Yuan spent several days at home with Li Qinghe and the others, taking a well-earned rest.
A week later, he finally tore himself away. He told Li Qinghe and the others to keep up their cultivation, then left the Land of Origin.
The moment he appeared at the estate, he vanished again.
He reappeared on Sky-Mending Star.
Nuxing was already waiting for him there. He would be accompanying Lu Yuan to the Elf Race and Beast Race territories to deal with the Aberration organizations.
Nuxing had been waiting at the teleportation plaza. When he spotted Lu Yuan, a grin spread across his face. "Yuan, ready to go?"
Lu Yuan smiled and nodded. "Let's move."
