My Genes Can Evolve Limitlessly·Chapter 377

# Chapter 377: King of Destruction, King of Corruption

The Gold Elf pondered for a moment, then shook his head.

"How could we possibly fathom the will of our God? Since it is a divine decree, we simply follow it."

Meihong gave a slight nod and said nothing more.

Then she continued, "The Cosmic Origin absorbed during this invasion wasn't nearly enough. It won't be sufficient for the two Lords to fully gestate — we'll likely need another attempt..."

At that moment, a jolt ran through Meihong's body. Her eyes widened slightly.

She had received a divine decree.

Her perception shifted into something ethereal. In a hazy, dim-yellow expanse, a towering silhouette bearing hundreds of tentacles and hundreds of razor-sharp claws blotted out the sky.

The shadowy figure appeared for only an instant before vanishing. In its wake, a message flooded into Meihong's mind.

*"Pray to me. Hasten the gestation of my children."*

Only after the figure dissolved did Meihong come back to her senses.

She turned to the Gold Elf and Ice Elf beside her and found them both frozen in place.

The three exchanged glances. When the Gold Elf spoke, his voice trembled with excitement.

"Did you receive the divine decree as well?"

Both the Ice Elf and Meihong nodded.

Meihong relayed her decree aloud: "Yes. Our God commands us to pray to Her — to gestate the two Lords!"

"Mine was the same."

The Ice Elf nodded.

The Gold Elf spoke eagerly: "We always keep altars prepared at headquarters. We can begin the prayer immediately!"

His voice quivered: "I was worried that the Cosmic Origin we plundered wouldn't be enough, but it seems our God must have a way. The two Lords should be fully gestated soon!"

Meihong nodded. "There's no time to waste. Let's move."

The Gold Elf nodded and turned to the Ice Elf.

"Lianbing, go prepare the ritual. We'll notify Spark and White Lion."

Lianbing gave a brief nod and vanished from the spot.

The Gold Elf turned to Meihong. "Meihong, let's head into the great hall."

Meihong nodded. "Right!"

Just as the two were about to enter, an overwhelmingly powerful aura materialized without warning in the nearby vacuum of space.

Both Meihong and the Gold Elf froze.

Their eyes went wide as they stared toward the source, faces stricken with shock.

"This aura..."

The Gold Elf's expression wavered between alarm and disbelief.

Meihong was shaken to her core: "What a terrifying presence! Could this be... the one who quelled the Aberration Rifts?! How can anyone be this powerful?!"

As the two stood in shock, every member of the Aberrant Spirit Legion at headquarters was staring fixedly in the same direction, faces drained of color.

"Who is that? Why have they appeared at our headquarters' outer perimeter?"

"So... so powerful! This is terrifying!"

Cries of alarm echoed among the legion's members as they stared warily into the void.

Deep inside the palace, White Lion followed Spark, carrying on his back an egg that oozed green slime. They entered a chamber at the palace's innermost depths, where a dark-green orb of light hovered in midair, pulsing with an aura of sinister destruction.

Sensing the slime-coated egg's arrival, the orb rippled faintly. The egg, in turn, began trembling atop White Lion's back.

As it shuddered, White Lion's body shivered involuntarily, as though crushed beneath some horrifying pressure.

Spark bowed respectfully to the dark-green orb, then turned to White Lion. "Set My Lord down here."

White Lion nodded and was about to speak—

Then a devastating aura erupted from outside, and the color drained from both their faces.

The dark-green orb and the slime-coated egg convulsed violently, unleashing waves of terrifying energy that flooded outward.

White Lion, pinned directly beneath the egg, was slammed to the ground. Blood sprayed from his mouth.

Spark cried out in alarm: "This aura... I felt it in the Upper Layer of the Land of Origin! How can it be this strong?!"

His mind flashed back to his time in the Upper Layer — the distant starlight he'd glimpsed had carried this same signature.

But back then, it had been far, far weaker.

*How could it have grown so much, so quickly?!*

Spark could barely believe it.

At that moment, the dark-green orb blazed with sudden brilliance. Two skeletal hands thrust outward from its center.

The bones were entirely green, laced with sinister crimson veins — savage and suffused with destructive force.

The skeletal hands gripped the orb's edges and wrenched it apart from within.

A humanoid creature composed entirely of bone emerged. Its skeletal frame was deep green, inscribed with intricate blood-red patterns that pulsed with malice.

Crimson flames burned in its hollow eye sockets.

Standing nearly ten meters tall, it radiated an oppressive, suffocating presence.

On White Lion's back, the slime-coated egg split with a web of cracks.

A piercing shriek tore through the air as the shell shattered. A mass of flesh, covered in writhing tentacles and studded with innumerable eyes, squeezed out from within.

The flesh-mass was far smaller than the green bone giant, but every one of its eyes glowed with sinister light. Wherever the slime dripping from its body touched White Lion's fur, it hissed and sizzled, and agony twisted across his face.

In the next instant, both the bone giant and the slime creature vanished.

After they disappeared, the pressure on Spark eased, and he let out a heavy breath.

He looked down at White Lion, who lay trembling on the ground. "...White Lion, are you alright?"

White Lion's white fur was pitted and corroded wherever the green slime had touched it. Pain was etched across his face. He glanced at Spark, the corner of his mouth twitching.

"...I'm fine."

Even if he wasn't, he wouldn't dare say so. After all, this damage came from that Lord. How could he dare complain?

"Good — let's get out there and see what's happening!"

Spark urged.

White Lion gathered himself. As a War God-level Beast Race powerhouse, his physique was formidable enough. With the crushing pressure gone, he could stand again. As for the corrosion on his back — since he was himself an Aberrant beast, it amounted to little more than a sting.

The two exchanged a glance, then rushed out of the palace.

In the vacuum of space, Lu Yuan appeared alongside Nuxing, Jinka, and Yingu.

The instant they materialized, all three companions fixed their gazes downward, their expressions turning grave.

Before long, they spotted a massive palace below.

Nuxing's brow furrowed. "Such powerful auras... There seem to be quite a few War God-level fighters here."

Jinka and Yingu immediately recognized the signatures of the two Beast Race War Gods.

Yingu bared his teeth, killing intent written across his face. "It's that fox Meihong and that lion White Lion. So they really did come here."

He and Jinka both turned toward Lu Yuan, lingering shock in their eyes. In mere moments, Lu Yuan had carried them across the void to the Elf Domain — and had actually pinpointed the two Beast Race War Gods.

His display of power had shaken them yet again.

Just then, a pair of terrifying auras erupted from the distant palace like twin volcanoes detonating at once.

Two signatures intertwined, rapidly surpassing Nuxing and the other War Gods — then soaring far, far beyond them.

All three War Gods went pale.

Jinka spoke gravely: "Such powerful auras... The Aberrant Beast Nest and the Aberrant Spirit Legion had monsters this strong hidden away?!"

Yingu's eyes narrowed as realization struck. "Such dense Aberration energy... Could these be outsiders, like the King of Flesh that Brother Lu Yuan killed?"

Lu Yuan had already registered the thick Aberration aura the moment he'd sensed the two Aberrant Beast Race War Gods.

He exhaled slowly. *Just as I suspected — the Beast Race and Elf Race Aberration organizations were gestating the same kind of beings.*

These auras were even stronger than the King of Flesh's had been. They were approaching Laws Rank.

Before his breakthrough, dealing with them would have been troublesome. But now...

A faint smile curved Lu Yuan's lips.

Space warped, and two figures appeared before them.

One was a humanoid monstrosity forged from green bone. The other was a ball of flesh oozing slime.

Crimson flames burned in the bone creature's eye sockets. Its gaze swept across the group before locking onto Lu Yuan.

Simultaneously, every eye on the flesh-mass focused on him as well.

Both could feel the terrifying power surging within him.

The bone creature's spiritual fluctuation rippled outward, projecting its will.

"I didn't expect this universe to harbor someone as powerful as you. You're the one who killed the King of Flesh, aren't you?"

Lu Yuan studied the two monsters without rushing to attack. He was happy to gather intelligence. "So you already know about that," he said with a smile. "And who might you be? What's your connection to the King of Flesh?"

The bone creature made no effort to hide anything. It sneered. "We're brothers, naturally! We were all born of the Great Mother. I am the King of Destruction — and I am the doom that has come for you! The Great Mother's power is beyond anything you can imagine. If you don't want to be destroyed, join us!"

The flesh-mass pulsed with spiritual energy beside it. "Hehehe. I'm the King of Corruption. As the King of Destruction said — death, or submission?"

*The King of Destruction and the King of Corruption.*

Lu Yuan studied the crimson patterns radiating destructive force across the King of Destruction's frame, then glanced at the slime coating the King of Corruption. He had a rough understanding now — these were likely manifestations of their respective Laws.

As for their ultimatum... Lu Yuan let out a cold laugh, and starlight began to bloom around his body.
